What to do in Ghisonaccia ?

In Ghisunaccia, once a simple place of transhumance for the shepherds of Ghisoni, Ghisonaccia became in the 1960s, with the boom of agriculture, a prosperous little town, which now counts more than 4000 inhabitants.

- The church of Saint Michel. One of the most beautiful pictorial achievements of the island, with its neo-Byzantine frescoes.

- The fitness trail in the Pinia forest:several routes are proposed and marked with different colours.
- The animal park located in the campsite Marina d'Erba Rossa.
- The Pistachio tree: this thousand-year-old tree won the jury prize in the Tree of the Year 2011 competition. It is now listed in the national inventory of remarkable trees.
- The cork oak l'arburacellu was elected the most beautiful tree in France and is also registered in the national inventory of remarkable trees. This prize earned it the right to represent France in the European Tree of the Year competition.
