MERIDIANU was born in inland Balagne, where centuries-old olive trees flourish.
Like the roots of the tree of peace, it is in this land steeped in history that MERIDIANU draws the inspiration and strength it expresses in its songs.
For the group, cultural heritage is the foundation on which the present is built and from which the future is forged.
MERIDIANU has chosen to draw on the richness of a heritage that has largely been saved from oblivion by the research and recording work of F. Quilici and F. Flori, among others. Flori among others.
Today, MERIDIANU is endeavouring to continue this mission by going out into the villages in search of the last songs that can still be found today.
