JAZZ IN PAESE is the bet of a few people who are both passionate about New Orleans jazz and their village and who have decided to bring them together. This juxtaposition has its origins in the little-known history of our region until the liberation. The Americans had chosen Ghisonaccia as the central base for their activities in the Mediterranean "U.S.S. Corsica" was its code name. They imported everything there: chewing gum, jackets and of course Jazz and Swing with their musicians. Making this music resound again in the Fiumorbo Valley is both an opportunity to restore the Festa in Paese to its letters of nobility with quality music, it is also an opportunity to unite around a common project for all those who make a village.
