What to do in Solaro ?

The most southerly communes of Haute-Corse welcomes you in its varied landscapes, from the long dune beaches at Punta di Tintennaghja. Located some 500 meters above sea level and only 8 kilometers from the sea, the village owes its name to its exceptional situation facing the morning sun. The view on the Tuscan archipelago should not make us forget the richness of its built heritage. The natural heritage is
not left: on more than 9,000 hectares preserved, flora and fauna present a high species diversity.

TO VISIT:
- Church of Saint Jean Baptiste: This church marks the gravesite of the new village, it replaces the old church of St. Augustine. Sober outside, inside is a hidden gems. A trail affords access to it from the village. An orientation table installed nearby will allow you to admire the landscape.
- Commemorative stelae of the Resistance, focal point  for the Corsica Resistance during the World War II, the Marina de Solaro pays tribute to those who liberated Corsica, the first free French department
