Copper mine of Tana - Vezzani It is located at the southern exit of the village at the place called "Poggiolello". The deposit was discovered or rediscovered during the building (in the 19th century) of the forest road that links Vezzani to Ghisonaccia. For the time being, we have no written or material evidence of any use of the copper resources in the Vezzani area in earlier times, even during the period when the Roman colony invested the area. The mine began to be exploited in 1897, and the ore was then sent to Belgium, but mainly to England. It was definitively closed during the 14-18 war.
