A pleasant litt le walk off ering a diversity of landscapes, vegetati on and rocks, unique in such a short distance.
In the village, take the directi on of the BOCCA BA gite. Park nearby and follow the path towards the Via Ferrata (indicated by the sign), which this path intersects in three places.
The climb is relati vely short but a litt le steep and hiking poles are recommended, especially on your way down. If you go in the morning, most of the climb can be done in the shade.
The arrival on the summit of Calanconi will off er you a beauti ful view on the sea, the mountains and the river «U travu». The summit ridge is quite fl at, with many beauti ful «tafoni» (small holes in the rock). You will fi nd a table facing east (Chisà and the Broncu ridge which dominates the Cuscione plateau), and another facing west and the Sulinzara military air base.
At the top, the «bandera» (Corsican fl ag) fl ies on a 2/3 meter high mast.
