A piscia di a Bughja: a well-deserved waterfall!

The start of the path that leads to the impressive Cascade di a Bughja is on the D245, between the villages of San-Gavinu-di-Fiumorbu and Isulacciu-di-Fiumorbu, on the left after the bridge over the Bughja stream, shortly after the hamlet of Bruschiccia towards Isulacciu. Please respect the inhabitants by parking outside private properties and by facilitating the circulation.

The itinerary starts on the right bank of the river by a path marked by a wooden signpost with a yellow blade indicating the waterfall.the path goes into a dense forest of holm oaks then you will find a junction halfway up indicating that you must turn right to continue your ascent (yellow signposting).

We then pass by a stone shelter and shortly afterwards join a path bordered by a low wall which we follow on the right. A few dozen metres further on, we leave this path and turn off onto a path that starts on our left. The path runs along the slope in the undergrowth as far as the waterfall of a Bughja.

Here you are at the foot of the impressive 70 m high waterfall and its several natural pools carved into the granite which allow you to refresh yourself in the waters of the stream.
